This privacy notice explains how TANZURI collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit our website, send us an enquiry or book a trip with us. We only collect what we need to help you plan and enjoy your journey.
1. Information we collect
When you use our enquiry, trip-planning or contact forms, we collect the information you choose to give us: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, country of residence, travel details (such as dates, number of travellers, interests and budget) and your message.
If you book a trip, we may also need passport details, dates of birth, dietary or medical information relevant to your travel, and emergency contact details. We collect this only when it is needed to make your arrangements.
Like most websites, our site may also record basic technical information, such as your browser type and pages visited, to keep the site secure and working properly.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare quotations, make and manage your bookings, communicate with you before and during your trip, and meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We will only send you marketing messages if you have agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.
3. Legal basis for processing
We process your personal information on the basis of your consent (for example, when you send us an enquiry), where it is necessary to take steps towards or perform a contract with you (such as planning and booking your trip), where we have a legal obligation, or where we have a legitimate interest in running our business that does not override your rights.
4. Sharing your information
We share your information only with the suppliers needed to deliver your trip — such as lodges, camps, airlines, transfer providers, guides and park authorities — and only the details they need.
We may also share information where required by law or by government authorities. We do not sell your personal information.
Some suppliers and service providers may be located outside your home country. Where information is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected.
5. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and booking information for as long as necessary to deliver your trip and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. After that, we delete or anonymise it.
6. Keeping your information secure
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw your consent, and to receive a copy of your information.
We handle personal information in line with Tanzania’s Personal Data Protection Act, 2022. If you are in the European Union or European Economic Area, you also have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Contact us
