Attractions
The sights people come to Tanzania for
The Great Migration, the Big Five, the Roof of Africa, chimpanzee forests and the Swahili coast — see what each one involves and where to find it.
WildlifeThe Great Migration
The Great Migration is the year-round movement of well over a million wildebeest, together with hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles, through the Serengeti ecosystem in search of grazing and water. It is not a single event on a fixed date but a continuous cycle, and its timing shifts with the rains every year.
Month-by-month guide
WildlifeThe Big Five
The Big Five are the African lion, leopard, elephant, Cape buffalo and rhinoceros. Tanzania is one of the few countries where all five can be seen, though they are not evenly spread and black rhino in particular are scarce. Seeing four of the five on a well-planned northern safari is realistic; seeing all five is possible but never guaranteed.
Landscapes UNESCOThe Ngorongoro Crater
The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the world’s largest intact volcanic calderas, formed when a great volcano collapsed in on itself. Grassland, swamp, a soda lake and patches of forest on the floor support a high density of wildlife that stays largely inside the crater year-round. The wider conservation area is also a Maasai homeland and holds some of the most important early-human sites on earth.
More than safaris
City days and time that gives something back
Spend an arrival day exploring Arusha, Dodoma, Dar es Salaam or Stone Town with a guide who lives there — or stay longer and volunteer with a local host we know and visit.
ArushaArusha City Tour
Most travellers pass through Arusha on the way to the northern parks and see very little of it. This guided day takes you into the markets, museums and streets of the town itself, with a local lunch along the way. It is a relaxed, useful first day for anyone arriving early or recovering from a long flight.
ArushaArusha Coffee & Village Tour
A day on the fertile slopes of Mount Meru, where smallholder farms grow some of Tanzania’s best-known coffee. You walk the plantation, take part in the roasting and grinding, taste the result, and then spend time in the village and its market. It is a gentle, sociable day rather than a sightseeing sprint.

Our promise
Trust, and a price with nothing hidden
A trip to Tanzania is a big thing to arrange from far away, often with people you have never met. We try to remove the guesswork: clear answers, an itemised quotation, and a Tanzanian team you can reach on the phone.
Transparent pricing
Every quotation is itemised: what is included, what is not, and what each part costs. The price we agree is the price you pay — no hidden extras added later.
Three offices in Tanzania
We work from Arusha, Dodoma and Dar es Salaam, so there is someone on the ground near wherever your journey takes you — before you arrive and while you travel.

No pressure, no obligation
Ask as many questions as you like and change the plan as often as you need. A quotation is an offer, not a commitment, and we will tell you honestly when something will not work.

Safari + Beach
Safari + Beach: the best of both
Tanzania is one of the few places where you can watch lions on the Serengeti one morning and be on a white-sand beach in Zanzibar that afternoon.
Short domestic flights connect the safari parks with the Indian Ocean, so it is easy to combine the excitement of game drives with a few slow, sunny days by the sea.
- Start with wildlife in the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire or the wild south
- Fly to Zanzibar or Mafia Island in a few hours
- Unwind with snorkelling, dhow cruises and Stone Town
- Ideal for honeymoons, families and first-time visitors
