Few trips feel as romantic as safari and beach in Tanzania: game drives by day, dinners under the stars, and then a few slow days on the coast. It is an ideal combination for honeymoons, anniversaries or any special celebration.

We shape the trip around the two of you — private game drives, intimate camps, a balloon flight at sunrise or a sunset dhow cruise — and keep the pace relaxed so there is time simply to enjoy it together.

What to expect

  • A private safari vehicle and guide, so you set the pace

  • Special moments such as a bush dinner, a hot-air balloon flight or a sundowner in a scenic spot (where available)

Our tips

  • Let us know you are celebrating when you enquire, so we can ask properties what they offer.
  • Balance safari and beach — around five to seven safari days and four to six beach nights works well for many couples.
  • Book early for peak months (roughly July to September and the Christmas holidays), when the best rooms go first.
  • Remember the light-aircraft luggage limit (around 15 kg in soft bags) when packing.
